primary VISUAL ASSETS
The logos below are property of Christ Place Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Access to these marks is permitted only to approved personnel. Please use these logos tastefully and intentionally. These marks represent Christ Place Church and as such, represent the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Use them in a way that glorifies His name and unifies His Church.
Our Emblem
Strong and unifying. This mark represents our unrelenting focus on the cross of Christ and His ultimate sacrifice on our behalf. Through His cross we unite His will (His kingship and the good news that He is our promised Messiah) with this place (Flowery Branch, GA). Note the cross made from the negative space of the "C" and the "P." This mark is a primary insignia and should therefore be treated with great care. Until the name "Christ Place Church" becomes instantly recognizable with this logo, it should never be used on its own. This does not mean that a lockup is always required. An item or area utilizing our emblem should simply be labeled with our wordmark elsewhere to avoid confusion and build equity. An example would be a polo that contains the emblem on the front left chest and a wordmark on the right sleeve. When in doubt, always use the wordmark.
Our Wordmark
As mentioned above, it's imperative that others know what our emblem references. To the casual observer the emblem may appear as a stylized cross but the wordmark is unmistakable in its meaning. Wordmarks can be unwieldy and difficult to scale. This is why we have several lockup variants to allow for a variety of uses and situations. The wordmark can be used alone ONLY when a product is limited in space and color options (we cannot build equity in the emblem unless we use it as much as possible). The wordmark should never be recreated. If a vendor or printer asks for the wordmark font then they may not understand the brand guidelines well. A vectorized or rasterized version of the wordmark should be all that is required.
Our Primary Lockup
The primary lockup is our way of clearly communicating our name and our visual identity. The emblem and wordmark have been merged in an intentional way that provides clear hierarchy and visual balance. Note the the top of the "P" that sits slightly above "CHRIST." Use the primary lockup frequently to promote instant brand recognition and bolster equity in our emblem. The primary lockup exists in a 3 line (great for smaller usage areas), 2 line, and a 1 line variant (great for banner type areas). Each variant exists in a 1 and 2 color version to allow for budgetary needs.
Taglines
The primary lockup may be paired with certain taglines as a way of communicating additional messaging about Christ Place while utilizing space. An example would be “Stronger. Together.” or in the indication of campus locations. Christ Place Church should always be the clear brand and should be easily understood as the people and the place (regardless of where that might be). The colors, typography, logos, etc. will all be identical to central. The words "North Campus" will only be used as a secondary indicator of location and should never be headlined above Christ Place Church. Typically these “taglines” will be written in Knockout but exceptions may apply at the discretion of the Creative Director and Brand Manager.
usage guidelines
Official logos, including the wordmark and any of the related lockups, should not be modified in any way. The following guidelines are listed to assist you with proper use and to contribute to a consistent and effective awareness of our brand. Please contact aroark@christplace.com if you need further assistance or have questions on logo use.
Allow Space Around the Logo
Use the diagrams below to determine the amount of space or padding that should be added in any application in order to give the logo proper attention. We will provide you an image with padding built in upon request. Similarly, do not place the logo in a shape that could be viewed as part of the logo or interpreted as a Christ Place Church brand element.
When using our logos it's important that none of the logos are crowded or impaired. When another mark encroaches too closely to our logos they essentially create a new logo. Use the height of the "H" in the wordmark as a reference for padding around any logo (including the emblem, wordmark, etc.). Sub-branding has a different set of guidelines (TBA).
Use Official Logos Without Modification
Please do not not overlay images; add elements that hinder the readability of the logo; add dimension like emboss or shadows; skew, stretch, warp, tilt, rotate the logo; or rearrange the logo elements. The following are examples of improper use:
DON'T add depth and/or dimension
Several color variants have been created for any situation you might encounter.
DON'T transform the logo in any way.
By holding the shift key and dragging from the corner of the logo, you should be able to resize without changing dimensions of the logo.
DON'T place a pattern behind a logo
They should be clearly legible.
DON'T overlay anything over a logo.
This creates a new unapproved logo.
DON'T place a logo inside another shape.
This can make a logo appear like a new logo or worse... someone else's!
DON'T move, resize, or rearrange elements of the logos.
All lockups were thoroughly vetted to allow for maximum visibility.
